Improved Material Properties of the VST Ceramic Tweeter: The ceramic element of the proprietary multilayer ceramic tweeter VST has been changed to a material with higher linearity (PZT: titanium oxide ceramic), similar to the intime Ao-Ti3, reducing higher-order dissonances. Originally, the VST, as a super tweeter, primarily reproduced sounds outside the audible range. However, by improving linearity and reducing dissonances, effective harmonics are achieved, allowing for a pleasant listening experience in the mid-to-high frequencies while maintaining the high resolution of previous models.
Full Stainless Steel Body: The material and shape of the housing that secures the sound unit have a significant impact on acoustic characteristics. The material, in particular, has a major influence on sound; generally, using heavier materials suppresses unwanted vibrations. In this product, to address the weight reduction issue of the previous model, stainless steel with excellent vibration damping properties was adopted for the housing, and the internal structure of the housing was also revised (16% weight reduction relative to the housing weight). Furthermore, heat treatment was applied to increase material rigidity, resulting in a housing with excellent vibration damping and scratch resistance. With increased rigidity, the sound transmission speed has also improved, and the intime Ao-2 achieves higher resolution than its predecessor.
Adoption of a graphene-coated woofer: The woofer, which plays a central role in the earphone, uses the graphene-coated woofer that has been well-regarded in the "intime Kirameki" model. A characteristic of this woofer is its clear and transparent mid-high frequency reproduction. It reproduces a clear and transparent sound with excellent detail, surpassing the mid-high frequency characteristics of the previous intime Ao model.
Adoption of HDSS(R) technology: Like the intime Ao-Ti3, the "intime Ao-2" employs HDSS(R) technology, a patented technology from TBI Audio Systems LLC in the United States. This technology has the effect of ordering the sound flow inside the housing and suppressing biased vibrations that affect the woofer. The balance between the resolution of the newly material-based ceramic tweeter VST and the mid-high frequency characteristics of the graphene-coated woofer has been thoroughly tuned using HDSS(R) technology, achieving a reproduction of bass with a solid outline and mid-high frequencies that harmonize exquisitely with the bass. Furthermore, the wide soundstage and spatial expression performance are unique features of HDSS(R).
Included Original Ear Hooks: Considering improvements in ear fit and reduction of cable touch noise, we have developed our first original ear hooks. The structure that prevents the cable from easily coming loose and the moderately soft material enhance the enjoyment of listening to earphones in everyday life.
