Dense leaves and proudly lifted flowers. I painted the free-flowing morning glories as part of my blue and white porcelain series. I hope that the beautiful shades of blue convey the feeling of a cool breeze blowing through. I combined the two to complement the vertical and horizontal linearity of the bamboo fence by adding the free movement of the morning glories. I also added depth and a three-dimensional effect by placing the bamboo fence in front and behind and letting the morning glories grow on it.
This is a Tokuoka fabric made in Japan using high-quality Chita cotton.
Like traditional tenugui towels, both ends are left uncut.
It can be enjoyed as interior décor by hanging it on a hanging rod or in a frame. It is also suitable as a kendo towel as it is 100cm long.
