Product Introduction
The Imperial Japanese Navy Light Cruiser Yahagi is being reissued with a two-piece 25mm machine gun!
The light cruiser Yahagi was the third Agano-class ship and was completed at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal in December 1943 during wartime.
The Agano-class was designed as the flagship of a torpedo squadron, and featured a modern exterior and armament that set it apart from the previous 5,500-ton class.
The main battery consisted of three 15cm twin guns and two newly developed 8cm twin anti-aircraft guns.
After completion, Yahagi participated in major battles, including the Battle of the Philippine Sea and the Battle of Leyte Gulf. In between battles, her anti-aircraft armament was upgraded.
In April 1945, as part of Operation Ten-Ichi-Go in response to the US military landing on Okinawa, she sortied as the flagship of the 2nd Torpedo Squadron to escort the battleship Yamato, but was hit by seven torpedoes and over 12 bombs from a superior number of US carrier-based aircraft and was sunk en route to Okinawa.
●You can choose from multiple yearly appearances of the product.
・This is the final appearance of the ship when it sortied to Okinawa with Yamato in Operation Ten-Ichi-Go in April 1945, equipped with 28 25mm single machine guns.

・This is the appearance at the time of the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June 1944, when the single machine guns were believed to have not been increased.
●Parts corresponding to the changes made to the Yahagi over the years are provided and included.
・The support barrel of the high-angle rangefinder is made into a separate part to accommodate the changes in configuration between 1944 and 1945.
- The aircraft operation deck comes with two different year-specific parts to accommodate the shape of the opening.
- The deck near the stern comes with two different year-specific parts to recreate the different equipment appearances depending on the year.

The instructions have been redesigned to be easier to read and understand.
The product features a full hull that can be reproduced all the way to the bottom of the ship, and comes with a pedestal for display after completion.
The 25mm twin machine guns come in both the traditional one-piece construction and a more precise two-piece construction.
The 25mm machine guns are made of two pieces, making it easy to paint the gunmetal barrel and the hull color of the base.
