Product Introduction
Fine Molds 1/72 Aircraft Series U.S. Air Force F-15C Fighter Kadena Air Base Plastic Model 72954
The 18th Wing, under the U.S. Air Force's Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), has been based at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Prefecture since the Vietnam War.
The tail code (the letters inscribed on the vertical tail) "ZZ" is a familiar marking to Japanese aviation enthusiasts, dating back to the days of the F-4 fighter.
The 44th and 67th Fighter Squadrons of this wing have long operated the F-15 and contributed to peace and stability in East Asia. However, due to changes in the U.S. Air Force's operational philosophy and the retirement of aging aircraft, F-15C fighter jets will disappear from Japanese skies.
This kit features a new molded vertical tail, which differs from that of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force aircraft.
