It's a plastic case with some LEDs inside, nothing more. The torch is pretty hefty in size and it looks awesome. If you are buying it for a kid who likes Minecraft he or she will be thrilled but be aware that it is just a toy the quality is with accordance with the price.

Unfortunately, something is loose at the light-up head part, it rattles here and there, so something covers the light-up part on the side if it turns that way. It's semi-shaded when it's lit.
