Before dyeing, ensure that your hair is clean by lightly shampooing and thoroughly drying it. Do not use conditioner at this time.

To prevent the dye from staining your skin, apply a generous amount of a waterproof oil-based cream (such as massage cream) around hairlines and ears. If any dye touches the skin, immediately wipe it off with Shiseido Stain Remover.

Fill the designated amount into the combing hair color applicator and dye by combing through the areas with more gray hair.
