ONEWE Official Light Stick

The box was damaged, but that's not the point. When I inserted the batteries correctly, the lightstick wouldn't turn on, so I took them out to see what the problem was and burned myself badly on the battery holder. It started to smell really bad, like burnt chemicals, and part of it melted. Now it works sometimes, and sometimes the same thing I described before happens again (it heats up and starts to smell). I'm not sure if it's safe to continue using the lightstick at this rate. And yes, I did check the polarity and followed the instruction manual on how to insert the battery holder.

The house came a little banged up but the lightstick was perfect. It does not come with photocards.
