Andy Iona (1902-66), known as a composer, singer, and conductor, is a great musician who added a brass section to Hawaiian music and created a swingy, jive sound. In addition to clarinet and saxophone, his music, which demonstrated multiple talents as a steel guitar player, made me feel a strong sense of popularity while exquisitely blending jazz and Hawaiian music.
This is the definitive edition where you can enjoy the recordings left by Iona from 1929 to 40 with song selection/explanation by Yuki Yamauchi/Katsunori Tanaka. The original was this work, which was released in 1999, but this time it was remastered and relaunched at a low price.
