Michel Polnareff, the nobleman of French pop.

In the 70s, it was hugely popular not only in its home country of France, but also in Japan, and the number of views on the radio was on par with the Beatles and Carpenters. A total of 4 performances in Japan with the catchphrase intact were a great success.

However, they broke up with France in a tax evasion case (their innocence was later proven), moved to the United States, and lived in seclusion, but resumed their tour for the first time in 34 years in 2007. The concert for 600,000 people at Eiffel Tower Square was a success. The turbulent artist M. Polnareff is 78 years old. However, rumors of live shows have continued in recent years, and popularity has not declined. There are some enthusiastic fans in Japan, and their beautiful melodies are immortal.

Here, in addition to the 1967 live concert (36 minutes) performed at the historic hall “Palais de Beaulieu” in Roseanne, Switzerland, popular songs such as the famous songs “Ai no Desire” and “Nonnon Doll” are recorded.

Polnareff, who learned classical music and made his debut through a wandering lifestyle, mainly composed music on the piano, and when he woke up to rock, he also learned guitar. Even on this 1967 stage, in addition to quiet parts such as “Ai no Desire,” where piano research is beautiful, it makes me listen to staging by absorbing drums, bass, organ, and rock sounds into distorted electric guitars. The early studio version of “Love Wishes” is interesting for Rare Tracks. The arrangement is different from the presentation version, there are no strings, and the organ is sandwiched between different phrases. That genius falsetto's singing voice is already perfect.
