Product introduction
The Beatles are a miraculous rock band whose popularity has not diminished even after half a century has passed since their dissolution in 1970. As you know, the more than 200 song numbers left behind by the popular music group that is probably the most loved in the world have been covered by artists from various countries, and the same is true in the Brazilian music scene known for samba and bossa novas. Of course, artists in the pop genre called MPB have also left many cover versions, but on the other hand, this album, which was covered in that style by Shoro musicians known as Brazil's oldest instrumental music, received a huge response when it was released (early 2000s). A total of 4 titles in the “Beatles in Show” series were sold, but they were re-released in limited quantities from Rice Records.
According to one theory, Shoro was born in the latter half of the 19th century in Rio de Janeiro, the center of Brazilian music, as a method of playing polka in the Brazilian style. Shoro, which is said to have been recorded even earlier than the first jazz recording (1917), became firmly rooted as Brazil's core music, such as being in charge of accompanying samba scenes that exploded in the 30s, and it was passed on to Bossa Nova, which was born later.
And the “Beatles in Shoro” series was created based on ideas left during his lifetime by Renato Russo, a central member of the rock band 'Legiao Urban' who died young in '96, and was produced mainly by Joan Augusto, president of the publisher DeckDisc, and cabaquinho player Enric Casez. All the Beatles numbers that everyone knows are featured here, and various musicians participate and entertain the variations according to the tone of the song. Starting with Enrique (Cavaquinho), who is also the arranger/producer throughout this series, only big names from the show scene, such as Amilton the Holland (Bandolin), Carlos Marta (saxophone, etc.), Paulo Sergio (clarinet), and Lil Ora (realello = harmonica), were used as soloists. Of course, the Beatles numbers they perform with top-notch skills are at the highest level musically, and there is no doubt that they will feel good no matter who listens to them.
These works can be asserted as the most refreshing collection of Beatles works in the world. If you haven't experienced it, please take this opportunity to try it out. I am absolutely addicted to it!
