A new work by Prince Hirata, who has pioneered a unique world of music centered around Brazilian music, and is gathering support among avid music fans.

Since releasing “Luz Do Sol” in 2011, the duo unit 'Luz do Sol' with Tsuyoshi Shibuya has produced a total of 3 works. Until now, regular live shows, including tours, have been performed, and music has been deepened, and Prince Hirata has occasionally performed live shows with that duo in this unit with Junichiro Oguchi and Yuji Miyano. This work was recorded about 4 years after they got together and performed at Kunitachi's “Sou (So)”. The songs recorded in are 10 songs that these members have continued to perform. ☆ Starting with the opening, there are 4 songs of Brazilian music such as Joan Donato and Luis Esa, which Prince Hirata himself has musical roots and loves to listen/play, and 1 Hawaiian song, which is the key to the other music. The Hawaiian, which is a mixture of “fun” and “sorrow,” which is depicted by looking at the original beauty of the song, has a sense of Saudage, such as Bossa, and a nostalgic and mysterious expanse, is excellent even in this unit. Overall, I surrendered myself to a relaxed rhythm, and the taste of dialogue where the number of sounds was suppressed... The performance of the three drumless acoustic instruments not only has a beautiful melody, but is also filled with warmth, harmony, tone, and even each breath.

Meanwhile, along with such songs, there are 5 original songs that are fascinating. Every song has a taste that makes you think of it as a standard, but the imaginary landscape born from the person's delicate senses, poems ※ that weave the emotions of casual everyday life, and the joy, anger and sorrow of living on the other hand, and songs that express the world of those poems are unique, oozing a gentle sensibility as a Japanese person while taking various forms of music. Also, they continued to perform for a long time, such as “Night Flight,” which was first recorded in 2000, and “The Reason for the Music,” which was recorded in 2008, and some were recorded with new arrangements, praising the depth over time.

The carving rhythm of the strings, the gentle and delicate sound of the piano, the soft sound of the woodwind, and voice... A superb acoustic sound that combines a sense of everyday life in a positive sense with Prince Hirata's sincere gaze on music as an artist! It's a work I want fans of Luz do Sol, as well as people who enjoy the quiet mystery of music to listen to widely. (*Poems are in Portuguese and Hawaiian)
