The twist mechanism and refill are also made in Germany, and this writing instrument has won numerous design awards. The Mechanical Pencil Mechanism of the Dore Griful No.2 is made in Germany, and when you turn the head of the twist mechanism, the chuck at the tip opens and the lead is pushed forward. When you undo the twist mechanism, the chuck closes and holds the wick in place. The core can store multiple refills in the main body, and it also has a chamber mechanism that pushes out the next refill as soon as the refill is used up.
