Pit-Road 1/700 Skywave Series Japanese Navy Kagero-class Destroyer Oyashio Plastic Model Kit with Flag and Ship Name Plate Etching Parts, SPW60 Gray

The Kagero-class destroyers were designed as a modification of the previous Asashio-class, and were the largest destroyers built at the time without the restrictions of disarmament treaties. They were equipped with three conventional 12.7cm Type C twin guns with an elevation angle of 55 degrees. Type 93 oxygen torpedoes and Type 96 25mm machine guns were also included as standard equipment for the first time on this class. The fourth Kagero-class destroyer, the Oyashio, was completed at the Maizuru Arsenal in August 1940 and formed the 15th Destroyer Squadron along with the Hayashio and Natsushio. Later, the Kuroshio joined the 2nd Torpedo Squadron.
