2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This is an assembly kit that reproduces the ELCO 80-foot torpedo boat, which was the most produced torpedo boat of the U.S. Navy during World War II. The model is the final PT-596. It is a 1/35 scale big model with a total length of 704mm. The huge hull and deck are integrally molded parts. Various equipment on the deck and the inside of the bridge are also realistically reproduced. In addition to the four torpedoes, the single Bofors 40mm machine gun and twin 20mm machine guns are all precisely finished. In addition, photo-etched parts, metal gun barrel, nylon mesh, etc. are also included to enhance the finish. Comes with a 47-page A5 size photo collection.
