This is a set of five sizes of new inro-style cube/cubic-shaped paulownia wood boxes made from thick boards with a stepped seam between the lid and body. This is a high-quality paulownia wood box that can be used to store small items or as a gift. Because it is made of natural paulownia wood, the grain will vary from piece to piece. (The grain may differ from the product image.) Paulownia wood boxes are lightweight and have little shrinkage. They are also resistant to corrosion and insects. They are also flame-resistant and have excellent hygroscopic properties (maintaining a constant humidity level), making them ideal for storing items. ●There are inexpensive paulownia boxes whose top and bottom panels are made from thin wood other than paulownia or plywood, but this paulownia box is made from thick paulownia wood. The new inro style design features a stepped joint between the lid and body, making it durable, airtight, and less susceptible to the effects of outside air. The corners are made of 45° cut boards, making the joints invisible. ●It is also ideal for storing precision equipment (cameras, etc.), important items, and documents that do not like moisture. ~Caution~ If the product is dented due to a fall or a knock, apply water to the dented area and let it dry naturally. If the dent is small, it will almost always return to its original shape. Natural wood boards are sensitive to changes in humidity. Paulownia wood is particularly sensitive due to its softness. If exposed to dry air, the boards may warp. In winter, they are especially prone to warping if left in a dry room with an air conditioner. ○When making paulownia boxes, we use paulownia wood that has been thoroughly dried, and before shipping from our store we inspect the wood to make sure it is not warped. However, if the wood is too dry, there is a rare chance that the lid may already be warped by the time it is delivered to the customer. Please understand that this is a characteristic of natural wood (Paulownia wood). If the lid becomes warped, leaving it in a humid place (such as a bathroom) for several hours may cause the warping to return to normal.
