The rare white dial features black and red indexes. The R-shaped crystal has a coin-edge finish that makes scratches less noticeable. The case back also has a coin-edge finish, making for a great side view. This is a faithful and easy-to-use reproduction of the early Type A-11 with a white dial issued to the U.S. Army Air Corps. This model was issued to pilots as standard equipment in 1940. Like other A-11s issued at the same time, it initially had a white dial. This white dial is thought to have lasted until around 1942, after which it was changed to a black dial. Compared to the black dial version, there are far fewer of these, making this a rare reproduction. The strap is a nylon khaki (desert) NATO strap.
