Brand Introduction
Fjällräven was established in a small village called Övik in central Sweden by a 14-year-old scout boy named Åke Nordin. He needed a backpack that could carry more loads comfortably and allow for long walks, but the existing backpacks were very inconvenient. Consequently, he decided to make a backpack himself. He carved a wooden frame, attached it to the backpack, and added leather straps to create his first trekking backpack. After joining the military, Åke Nordin realized the need for a backpack that could store more gear and officially founded Fjällräven in 1960, starting the production of outdoor equipment and clothing. The Arctic Fox logo can now be seen in urban streets and the wilderness.
