Walk the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido "West" from Fukuroi-juku To Kyo-Sanjo Bridge (Map)

This book is a handmade map of the approximately 492-kilometer route of the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido, meticulously researched down to the smallest detail. It is a folding map that is easy to carry and easy to read. Unlike a book, the map does not have overlapping seams, making it an extremely convenient, easy-to-read, and easy-to-walk map book. In addition to the walking route, it also includes explanations of post towns and famous places, and even features now-defunct famous road sites, making it a valuable historical read that allows you to reminisce about the past while walking. It also includes information on current town names, convenience stores, toilets, and accommodation along the route. At the end of the book is a 16-page blank diary of the journey, where you can note dates and other details. Author Makio Yagi is the representative of the Gokaido Walk Office. In addition to providing information on the roads and walking events online, he also walks the roads himself to update the map. If the Fifty-three Stations were to be mapped, the total length would be 30 meters, so they were divided into 15-meter intervals. The route connects 26 stations, covering a total distance of 243 kilometers, from Fukuroi Station in the west to Kyo-Sanjo Bridge.
