Description

This full-metal model features the dial color of the original G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, released in 1983. The colors red, which represents G-SHOCK's brand color and symbolizes a passion for constant challenge, blue, representing high water resistance, and yellow, signifying shock resistance. The stainless steel bezel is formed into a three-dimensional shape through time-consuming forging, cutting, and polishing processes, with a hairline finish on the top and mirror polished slopes for a beautiful finish. Like the original model, the stainless steel case features an airtight screw-back case. To achieve a full-metal shock-resistant construction, a fine resin buffer is installed between the bezel and case. The band connection has a three-pronged structure to disperse impacts on the connecting pipe. The metal band pieces are dimpled, inheriting the resin band design of the original model. It is also manufactured at Yamagata Casio, the mother factory that created the original G-SHOCK.
