Precautions for Use
●Be sure to wipe off any moisture from the outside of the pot, especially the bottom, before placing it on the stove.
●Do not boil the pot empty. Doing so may cause it to crack. Always fill the pot with water before placing it on the stove.
●Use on medium or low heat on gas stoves.
●This product is for use on gas stoves only. Do not use on induction cooktops or other electric appliances.
●Before using for the first time, fill the pot 80% with water and about 2 tablespoons of flour and bring to a boil. This will improve cooking and reduce stain penetration.
● Fine cracks (crazing) may appear on the surface of the pot, but this does not affect its usability.
● Never use the pot for deep-frying, such as tempura or fries. This may cause a fire.
● Do not use the pot filled to the brim with water.
● Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as pouring cold water over a hot pot. This may cause the pot to crack.
● The pot will be very hot during and after cooking, so please be careful not to get burned.
● When placing the pot on a table, use a trivet or similar container.
● Transfer food from the pot to another container without storing it in the pot.
How to Care After Use
● After use, allow the pot to cool, then wash it thoroughly with a sponge and mild detergent.
● Be sure to thoroughly wash the unglazed bottom of the pot. If stains persist, use dish bleach to remove them. After washing, place the pot face-up and allow it to dry thoroughly. Insufficient drying can lead to mold.
If there is burnt residue, do not use sharp objects to remove it. Instead, soak in warm water to soften it before removing it.
