[Author Profile] Noboru Yasuda Born in 1956 in Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture, Yasuda is a supporting actor in the Shimogakari Hōshō school of Noh. He encountered Noh while teaching at high school and became a disciple of Master Kaburagi Mineo. He currently works as a Noh performer both in Japan and abroad, while also creating, directing, and performing in works that use Noh methods. He also runs "Yugaku Juku" temple schools, primarily in Tokyo and around the country, where he studies the Analects and other works, and continues to reexamine the "physicality" of Japanese and Chinese classics. He has also appeared on NHK's 100-Minute Masterpieces program. His major works include "Noh: What is the mechanism that has continued for 650 years?"
