Contents - 1 rule [24 inches/600mm], 1 stop.
ALL SCALE OPTIONS IN ONE TOOL - Woodpeckers Hexscale offers left-to-right and right-to-left measuring, centering, inch and metric scales, and stops - all in an architectural style scale.
Right-to-Left Ruler - Occasionally, measurements need to start on the right side instead of the left. A familiar example is a table saw. In most cases, you'll need to measure from the right rip fence to the edge of the blade.
Center Finding Ruler - Whether installing hardware or joinery, woodworkers often need the center of a board. The Centering Scale takes all the math out of the equation. Simply adjust the rule so both ends line up with the same measurement and zero is the exact center of the material. You can then mark the center or place points the same distance on either side of the center.
Inches and Metric - All of the above options are found in HexScale in both inch and metric scales. The scales have been organized to help those who are just becoming fluent in the metric system. If you are looking at a scale in inches, rotate HexScale once and the equivalent metric scale will be substituted.
All the scale options you need fit into one convenient tool. Left-to-Right: This is the most familiar to woodworkers for everyday layout work. With the zero at the left end of the rule, the scale increases to the right. Right-to-Left: Occasionally, measurements need to start on the right side instead of the left. A familiar example is a table saw. In most cases, you need to measure from the rip fence on the right side to the edge of the blade. Centering: Whether installing hardware or joinery, woodworkers often need the center of a board. The centering scale takes all the math out of the equation. Simply adjust the rule so that both ends line up with the same dimension and the zero is the exact center of the board. You can then mark the center or lay out points the same distance on either side of the center. Inches and Metric: All three of the above options are found in HexScale for both inch and metric scales. The scales are organized to help those of us trying to become fluent in the metric system. If you're looking at an inch scale, use HexScale.
A single rotation replaces the equivalent metric scale. Stops: We designed stops to fit the profile of the HexScale and provide repeatable markings. Simply slide to adjust to your desired dimension and make as many marks as you need. Woodpecker makes the HexScale in four lengths: 6", 12", 24", and 36". Each is available individually. Or get the complete set. The set includes four HexScales, four stops, and a wall-mountable Rack-It, so you can keep your HexScales within easy reach and get to work right away.
