2022 marks the anniversary of five JR East Shinkansen lines. To commemorate "Shinkansen YEAR 2022," the Yamagata Shinkansen "400 Series Tsubasa" and the Tohoku Shinkansen "E4 Series Max" are now available in special Plarail sets in their original colors from when they first began operating! Both trains are designed to be coupled, allowing you to recreate the original formations. ■Based on the 400 Series Shinkansen Tsubasa (in its initial commercial livery) ■Based on the E4 Series Shinkansen Max (in its initial commercial livery) ■Both the 400 Series Tsubasa and E4 Series Max are designed for coupling. (Pull the lever on the third car to reveal the magnetic coupler, allowing you to couple and run the two cars.) ■These three-car trains can be coupled and detached. ■Both cars have two-speed electric travel, and can be rolled by hand with the switch turned off. *Rails not included.
