Fontaine is a premium watercolor paper made from 100% cotton.
Its greatest feature is its excellent absorbency and water retention.
The internal and external sizing (gelatin) allows for vibrant colors and a translucent finish.
The durable paper surface resists wrinkling even when saturated with water, making it ideal for a wide range of watercolor techniques, including shading, bleeding, and layering. Its color is a natural white, free of optical brighteners.
It is a block type paper with glue on all four sides. It can be used without stretching.
The medium grain has a moderately textured texture. Its watercolor-like finish and ease of use make it recommended for beginners.
[PEFC Certification]
