This 1/43 scale kit is based on the McLaren Honda MP4/5, which won 10 of 16 races in the 1989 F1 World Championship, taking home both the Drivers' and Constructors' titles. This was the first year that the engine was changed from turbo to naturally aspirated, and it was a great car that achieved the same overwhelming results as the previous year. This is a multi-material kit that uses white metal, resin parts, etched parts, silk-screened decals, vacuum parts, and aluminum turned parts. The body cowling is removable, allowing you to see the internal structure even after completion. The front and rear suspension arm parts are made using the lost wax method, using brass, which is stronger than white metal. Prost finished second, and the Japanese GP, the turning point in the drivers' title battle. The rear wing features a different flap configuration than Ver.A/C.
