Few people know this, but for precise drivetrain adjustments to maximize performance, top garages, teams, and riders use shims of varying thickness. As we know, belts wear over time—tenths of a millimeter, but this already impacts the vehicle's performance. Installed between the variator plate and the variator bushing, and between the variator counterplate and the bushing, shims allow for easy adjustment and reduce belt wear. Everyone wants to maximize their scooter's power—without Variocontrol shims, this is impossible. It's worth experimenting with the variator's belt-to-belt settings at a low cost to achieve very measurable performance. The set contains 32 shims ranging in thickness from 0.4mm to 1mm.
