The 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A※2 VC RXD (Model B070) is a large-aperture standard zoom lens for Fujifilm X mount APS-C size mirrorless cameras. The goal was to achieve both a wide range and high image quality. As a standard zoom lens compatible with APS-C, it is the first in the world to achieve a zoom ratio of 4.1x with a focal length of 17-70mm (equivalent to 25.5-105mm in 35mm format) and a large aperture of F2.8.

In addition, this lens is equipped with [Tamron]'s original image stabilization mechanism VC (Vibration Compensation). By utilizing AI (artificial intelligence) technology, it is possible to obtain a correction effect that is more considerate of video shooting compared to conventional VC mechanisms. The size has been made lightweight and compact, considering compatibility with APS-C size mirrorless cameras, while still equipped with a VC mechanism. It is recommended not only for daily use but also for outdoor scenes where you want to reduce the burden of your luggage.

The AF drive is equipped with a silent, high-speed, and precise stepping motor unit RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive). It also suppresses focus breathing, which occurs during video shooting. In addition to these features, the minimum shooting distance is 0.19m at the wide-angle end and 0.39m at the telephoto end, and a simple water-repellent structure and anti-fouling coating are adopted.
