After use, be sure to perform proper maintenance. ・Since watercolor paints are water-soluble, soap is not necessary when washing brushes. After washing, be sure to reshape the brush to its original form and let it air dry in a well-ventilated area. (With the bristles pointing downwards) Hanging the brush after use prevents paint from accumulating at the base, thus preventing damage to the bristles. ・After drying the brush thoroughly, store it in a well-ventilated place to prevent the bristles from becoming misshapen. Storing it while damp can cause mold, rot, and shedding of hairs. Caution: *Discard the brush cap after using the brush. Putting the cap on while the brush is wet may damage the bristles. *Do not leave the brush submerged in a brush washer for extended periods. This can cause the bristles to become misshapen or the handle to crack. *Do not use a hairdryer to dry the brush. The delicate bristles will be damaged by high heat. *Please understand that brushes are consumables. Depending on the paint, support, and brush pressure , animal hair brushes will wear down or break at the bristles.
