This is a 1/24 scale plastic assembly kit of the Ford Escort Mk.I, one of the most iconic cars in rally history.
Manufactured by Belkits, a Belgian company that actively develops both modern and classic rally cars.
This kit recreates the Daily Mirror RAC Rally spec car driven to victory by Roger Clark in 1972.
The finished length is 168mm, width is 77mm, and the kit contains 144 parts.
The body, including the overfenders, is fully recreated, fully capturing the car's distinctive style.
The front and rear bumpers and grille are made with plated parts, giving it the feel of a 1970s car.
The underside of the chassis, including the engine bottom and exhaust pipes, is finished with separate parts for a three-dimensional feel.
The rear suspension leaf springs are also meticulously modeled.
The interior is detailed with the dashboard, seats, and roll bar.
The seatbelts are made with both etched and plastic for a realistic finish.
Markings are made with Cartograf decals.
The set also includes photo-etched parts such as brake discs and soft plastic parts such as mud flaps.
