Product Introduction
The USS Indianapolis, a Portland-class heavy cruiser of the U.S. Navy, is now available in a new mold.
The Indianapolis was sunk by the Japanese I-58 submarine after completing a top-secret mission to transport atomic bomb materials to Tinian Island at the end of World War II.
The delay in rescue led to one of the most tragic events in U.S. naval history.
1945 specification. Various turrets, machine guns, and float-equipped aircraft are faithfully reproduced. The hull can be separated into upper and lower halves. A display stand is included.
