By adopting a floating structure in which a single cymbal pad moves up and down with pedal operation, this V-hi-hat can be played in a similar manner to the hi-hat on an acoustic drum. Attached to an acoustic drum hi-hat stand, the motion sensor unit placed under the cymbal senses the vertical movement of the cymbal when the pedal is pressed. The lightweight, thin frame not only reproduces the natural sway of the hi-hat when you hit it, but also allows for smoother open/close movements. It corresponds to the bow edge strike, and faithfully reflects the shot position, strength, and pedal open/close condition and timing in the sound. It provides a playing feel similar to that of an acoustic drum.
