The VH4 PEDAL is an effects/preamp pedal using the same configuration as the original VH4 Channel 3, so it can be connected to the clean input of a guitar amp as an overdrive pedal, or to the power section of an amp as a preamp. The VH4 PREAMP PEDAL is not an emulation or modeling pedal, but a real preamp that produces diesel tones. It features Bass, Mid, Treble, Deep, and Presence controls just like the original. And the gain can be set over a wide range, giving you anything from a clear crunch to high-gain lead tones. After the output is controlled by the Master, it can be connected to the guitar input of a guitar amp, or to a line-level power amp input such as an effects return. The footswitch bypasses the guitar input. Mute the power amplifier input.
