The machine isn't working. We've tried it using batteries and the adapter, and the machine just beeps, then turns off. (edit) We got the machine to work. It has to be properly connected, and all of the pads have to be placed on the skin in order for it to work. If you are using the cable with 4 pads, all 4 must be stuck on to the skin. The quality of the machine (the plastic, the intensity wheel) isn't the greatest, but for this price is as expected.

I love these! They're softer than anything I've ever used to remove old skin, not abrasive at all but they still remove a lot more than I can by hand (my skin has issues with retaining dead skin cells and is also very delicate, so peeling isn't helpful.
