Equipped with a powerful 2000-horsepower engine, a large propeller, and inverted gull wings, the U.S. Navy Corsair flew on the front lines from World War II through the Korean War.
This plastic model assembly kit depicts the F4U-1A, which appeared in the summer of 1943, following the F4U-1, and was flown by many Marine Corps and Navy aces, fighting fierce battles against Japanese aircraft in the Solomon Islands and elsewhere.
The model accurately captures the distinctive features of the F4U-1A, such as its elevated cockpit, long tailwheel strut, and two-frame canopy.
The unique inverted gull wings can be assembled in a folded position. The fuselage can be equipped with a choice of 1000-pound bombs or fuel tanks.
Includes two pilot figures (seated and standing) and two decal sets.
