This model includes etched parts of the Zuikaku during its final appearance in the 1944 Battle of Leyte Gulf! It's based on the ship's appearance in 1944, when triple machine guns, a Type 21 radar, and a turret were added to the bow and stern. The flight deck is molded as a single piece, with the elevator section made into a separate part. The flight deck features a wooden deck, deck joints, and anti-rolling device base. The windbreak fence and Type 21 radar on the flight deck are recreated as separate parts. The set includes two of each of four types of aircraft: the A6M Zero Type 21 Carrier-Based Fighter, the A6M Zero Type 52 Carrier-Based Fighter, the A6M Zero Carrier-Based Bomber, and the A6M Tenzan Carrier-Based Bomber. The aircraft parts consist of the main body, landing gear, tail gear, canopy, and propeller, with bomb armament for each aircraft model made into separate parts. The etched parts recreate the delicate ship's rigging, which is difficult to achieve with injection parts. Etched parts include handrails, ladders, catapults, chimney handrails, footrests, and flagpoles. This product is made in Japan. This is a plastic model kit that requires assembly.
