The Nanbu Jukan Railway opened in 1962 between Chibiki and Shichinohe, and was later extended to Noheji, utilizing the trackbed of the former Tohoku Main Line, which was created by a track switch. From its opening until its suspension in 1997, the line was characterized by the use of two-axle rail buses as its primary vehicle. This model recreates the Nanbu Jukan Railway's Kiha 101 and 102. The head and taillights are illuminated by warm white LEDs and equipped with a constant-light circuit board. The car number is printed on the model.
