The popular 849 collection, which features a hexagonal and lightweight aluminum body and is a continuation of Caran d'Ache's tradition of being a pencil factory in Geneva since 1915, has released a variety of limited editions in the past.
In 2008, the eye-catching aged "849 Original" was released, followed in 2012 by the "849 Gold Bar," a symbol of Switzerland, both of which were successful limited editions.
