This tea is made using 100% tea leaves from Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is made using the deep-steaming method, resulting in a rich, delicious tea. Kakegawa City is often featured on television as a city of longevity. Much of the green tea consumed by the people of Kakegawa is deep-steamed. The long steaming time ensures that even the nutrients in the tea leaves that would normally not dissolve are absorbed into the tea. It can be used with either hot or cold water, and produces no waste, making it easy for anyone to make. Since it is made from 100% powdered tea leaves with no additives, the tea leaves will settle over time. The average amount is 1/5 teaspoon (0.5g) per 100ml teacup, but you can adjust the strength to your liking. For a 500ml PET bottle, the average amount is 1 teaspoon (2.5g).
