These tightly knit children's work gloves are manufactured in-house by Gunte Kobo, a long-established manufacturer with 60 years of experience in the production of work gloves in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The gloves manufactured by Gunte Kobo are knitted with ultra-fine elastic yarn. This allows them to stretch despite being made of cotton, providing a snug fit. This is the same manufacturing process as socks, so it's easy to understand if you think of the elasticity of socks. With cotton alone, the yarn must be thicker to create a tight stitch, which can result in the fabric losing its elasticity and becoming stiff. Gunte Kobo solves this problem by knitting ultra-fine elastic yarn into the work gloves. The stretchy fabric and tightly knit stitches provide a snug fit and improve workability. They also prevent dirt from seeping in. The elastic and rubber yarns are made by Marlon, a reliable domestic manufacturer that also produces stockings and socks. The materials are nylon/polyester and polyurethane.
