Praying mantises are found throughout Japan, from Hokkaido to Kyushu, and are one of the most representative summer insects, appearing from August to October.

In addition to primarily green individuals, brown individuals also exist. They range in size from 7 to 10 cm, tending to grow larger the further south they are found.

- The entire product is molded in a metallic green that evokes a mechanical image. - The metallic finish emphasizes the intricate design, from the outer shape to the finest irregularities. - While previous colored versions only featured a different color for the abdomen, this product features the same color as the main body. - The internal structural parts and leg bases are custom colored to match the main body.

・This product is a kit based on a female giant praying mantis and includes one individual. ・When completed, it will measure an impressive 20cm in length, larger than life. ・The runner parts can be removed by hand, making it recommended for beginners.

・Realistic design and high level of accuracy The fine details around the head and mouth are delicately sculpted using a slide mold. Even the slight indentations on the surface of the legs are designed to resemble a real living organism. The saw-like shape of the scythe (arm) has been accurately reproduced.

・Major parts are designed to be movable The scythe (arm), including the base and joints, can be moved, allowing it to adopt an intimidating pose. The legs have ball-jointed bases for mobility. The legs include two types of joint bending, allowing you to change the height of the pose by selecting the appropriate angle. The head is ball-jointed, allowing for a wide range of face orientation. The antennae are insertable, allowing for different orientations. By inserting the separately sold wings, you can create threatening or flying poses.

The included assembly instructions also include a fun facts column about praying mantises, allowing you to learn about the real thing while you build. (Due to the characteristics of the antennae, please use nippers to cut out the parts.)

All molded parts are in one color.
