● Kakegawa weaving is a traditional weaving technique from Kyushu's Chikugo region.
● Its beautiful, sophisticated, and modern design, featuring alternating large and small weaves, is popular.
● It is also made with carefully selected, high-quality, thick, long rush grass woven at a high density, making it strong and durable, while providing comfortable cushioning and volume underfoot.
● Made with domestically grown (Kyushu) rush grass. Each strand is thick, with a thick outer skin and fine fibers, making it resilient and durable.
● Rush grass has natural air purification and humidity control properties. It is also stain-resistant, turning golden brown with use and developing a unique character.
● The rush grass is treated with Aomori cypress (antibacterial and deodorizing properties).
