Product Introduction
Product Introduction The Akizuki-class destroyers were designed and built to escort aircraft carrier task forces against the rapidly evolving threat of aircraft. Hatsuzuki was the fourth ship of the Akizuki class and was completed on December 29, 1942. In June 1944, she participated in the Battle of the Philippine Sea as a direct escort for the task force. She also participated in the Battle of Cape Engano in October as a direct escort for Zuikaku. During rescue operations following the sinking of Zuikaku, she engaged an approaching American fleet. She held off the enemy fleet for two hours, successfully enabling the evacuation of Isuzu and Wakatsuki, which were also being rescued by Zuikaku's crew, before being sunk. ・1/700 scale plastic model ・Includes ship name decals for Hatsuzuki, Shimotsuki, Niigatsu, and Wakatsuki ・Available as a surface or full-hull model ・Finished size: Approximately 191.5mm in length ・Includes one ship *This product requires assembly and painting. *Separate adhesives, tools, paints, etc. are required for assembly and painting. *"Plastic Model" is a registered trademark of the Japan Plastic Model Industrial Cooperative.
