Maintenance & Sterilization
Clean exterior with neutral detergent and soft cloth.
Dry thoroughly before sterilization.
Autoclave at 134 °C / 2 bar for 4 min; validated for 1,000 cycles.
Replace LED when brightness falls below clinical needs.
Inspect coupler, O-rings and burs weekly; replace worn parts.
Store in a clean, dry environment.
(1)Lubrication
After each use and before sterilization:
Remove bur.
Attach oil-can nozzle to rear of handpiece; spray 2–3 s until oil flows clearly from head for ≥2 s.
(2)Sterilization
1)Preferred method: steam autoclave.
2)After every patient: remove bur and sterilize as follows:
3)Seal handpiece in sterilization pouch.
121 °C for ≥15 min or 132 °C for ≥15 min.
Keep sealed until use.
(3)O-ring Replacement (fiber-optic models)
If water appears in exhaust tubing, replace the complete O-ring set:
1)Unscrew and remove rear cone ring.
2)Remove old O-rings manually.
3)Install new O-ring set correctly.
4)Re-tighten cone ring firmly.
(4)Coupler Maintenance (fiber-optic models)
1)Detach coupler from hose.
2)Remove rear washer.
3)Pull out water tube and replace check valve.
4)Insert new check valve and reinstall rear washer.
Warranty
NiceDent products carry a warranty covering material and manufacturing defects; terms vary by product line. Warranty is void if failure results from misuse, unintended use, unauthorized tampering or use of non-genuine NiceDent parts. Spare parts for discontinued models are supplied for at least seven years after discontinuation.
Important Notes
Contraindications & cautions:
1.Hemophiliacs: use with extreme caution due to bleeding risk.
2.Pacemaker or severe arrhythmia patients: contraindicated—electric motor may interfere.
3.Cardiac patients, pregnant women, young children: use with extra care.
4.Do not use simultaneously with high-frequency surgical devices.
5.Avoid impact or dropping the handpiece.
6.Never press head cap while rotating; risk of patient injury.
7.Do not use damaged burs (bent, cracked, deformed, or non-compliant).
8.Do not direct light into patient’s eyes—risk of harm, especially to cataract patients.
9.Never run handpiece without bur or without bur fully locked.
10.Do not use disinfectants containing acetone or immerse in disinfectant.
11.Replace cartridge if noise becomes excessive after use.
12.Avoid rapid heating or cooling.
13.Do not use dry-heat cycles if chamber >135 °C.
14.Do not operate with air on if bur is not installed—bearing damage may result.
15.Maintain air compressor and filters regularly; use clean, dry air.
Ensure interior is moisture-free before thermal washer-disinfector or lubrication.
Never clean with benzene, thinners or sharp tools on fiber-optic rod.
Do not force wire into ports; may block coolant spray.
Never blow compressed air into handpiece head.
