This is the sequel to the beloved "Ghostbusters." The cast reunites, and the special effects are even more powerful. The familiar theme song by Ray Parker Jr. is still there, delivering that powerful, rhythmic melody.
In the previous film, the Ghostbusters saved the world from the clutches of the genie Gozer, but this time they face the evil Vigo, the demon lord residing in a painting. Vigo is trying to sacrifice Dina's baby in order to materialize in a human body.
The lead actor, Bill Murray, and others had originally turned down the offer to appear in a sequel to avoid being stuck in one image. However, they had enjoyed the first film with the best cast, so they wanted to do it again, and accepted the offer. The atmosphere of the screenwriter and cast, all top comedians, having fun, is what makes this film so appealing. (Umezawa Mayumi)
