However, Princess Peach is nowhere to be found. Searching for clues about Princess Peach, Mario visits Professor Frankly, who is researching treasures in town, and learns that the "1000 Year Door" leads to the treasure, and that seven "Star Stones" are needed to open the door. Believing that he will be able to meet Princess Peach if he follows the treasure, Mario sets out on an adventure in the paper world to search for the Star Stones, along with Christine, whom he meets in town. It also seems that it's not just Mario who is looking for Princess Peach; Bowser is also... The adventure takes place in a paper world full of encounters and surprises. At each destination, various events will occur, such as a giant dragon waiting for you, residents suddenly turning into pigs, and incidents occurring on the train. At first glance, Mario may come across places that seem impossible to navigate, but he will open up his path using actions unique to paper, such as using his thin body to fit into narrow gaps or transforming into a paper airplane to fly through the sky. [Mario and his unique companions on his adventure] Mario will meet some unusual characters along the way. These characters will become his companions and help Mario on his adventure with their various abilities and personalities, such as Christine, who will tell him information about the people, places, and enemies around him, Nokotaro, who is good at diving into shells and ramming into enemies, and Clouda, who can create strong winds to blow away anything nearby. [Crazy Theater Battle] When Mario bumps into an enemy on the field, a turn-based command battle takes place in a theater! Mario can choose from a variety of actions, including "attack," "item," "special move," "defense," and "appealing to the audience," depending on his strategy. Pressing the button at the right time to attack will increase damage to the enemy, and the audience will join in, making the battle even more exciting.
