[Story] Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a troublemaker estimated to be 600 years old, runs a "human scarer" business in the afterlife. He still can't forget Lydia (Winona Ryder), whom he once tried to marry but failed. He has only one wish: to marry a human and move from the afterlife to the human world. Meanwhile, Lydia has become a household name as the host of the TV show "Ghost House," where she makes use of her psychic powers. But in her private life, she's troubled by her mother-daughter relationship with Astrid (Jenna Ortega). This is because Astrid doesn't believe in ghosts at all and even thinks her mother's psychic powers are a fraud. Amidst all this, an incident occurs in the afterlife. Beetlejuice's ex-wife, Dolores (Monica Bellucci), whose body had been sealed in pieces in a warehouse in the afterlife for centuries, is resurrected. Dolores seems to have a grudge against Beetlejuice and seeks revenge, so she relentlessly searches for him. But on Halloween, the spookiest night of the year, things take a sudden turn. Astrid has somehow become trapped in the afterlife, and Lydia, desperate to rescue her daughter, turns to Beetlejuice for help as a last resort. Dolores is burning with revenge against Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice wants to marry Lydia and escape to the human world, and Lydia wants to rescue her only daughter who is trapped in the afterlife. What will the outcome be on Halloween night?
