Ecokins plush toys are made using 100% recycled PET from used plastic bottles and recycled paper, saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Wild Republic continues its commitment to the planet by reducing the amount of plastic waste that impacts the environment. We are focused on reducing the number of single-use water bottles used every day that end up in landfills. How are adorable Ecokins plush toys made from water bottles? First, the water bottles are shredded, washed, disinfected, and melted down. Next, the fibers are spun into incredibly soft fabric yarn. The fabric, fiber stuffing, and sewing threads are made from this recycled material. Knowing that these plush toys started from water bottles makes them incredibly soft and huggable. The embroidered eyes and noses are made from recycled yarn and are safe for babies. In addition, instead of plastic cords, we use hang tags made from recycled paper printed with soy ink and cotton string. The Ecokins 8-inch harbor seal pup is made from 7 recycled PET bottles. Ecokins is currently the only plush toy made from 100% recycled materials.
