This crankshaft is ideal for Cubs and Monkeys. The engine is a crucial part, often called the heart of a motorcycle or car, and the crankshaft is one of the essential components for its operation, alongside parts like the piston, connecting rod, and cylinder block. It can be used not only for tuning purposes such as bore-up and boost-up to increase engine power, but also as a spare for quick repairs in case of failure or deterioration.
When the crankshaft malfunctions, symptoms such as strange noises from the engine, inability to start, or the engine starting but failing to reach top speed may occur. It is a crucial part essential for the operation of a motorcycle. Therefore, in addition to promptly repairing or replacing any abnormalities, regularly performing maintenance such as oil changes, avoiding driving styles that put a strain on the engine, such as sudden starts, rapid acceleration, and sudden braking, and performing proper gear changes can reduce excessive load and wear on the crankshaft and surrounding parts, ultimately leading to a longer lifespan for your beloved motorcycle and allowing you to enjoy safe and secure riding.
Among motorcycle customizations, relatively inexpensive and easy-to-do customizations such as smartphone holders, mirrors, grips, USB chargers, license plate holders, and headlight/turn signal/taillight bulb replacements, as well as dress-up customizations that drastically change the appearance, such as tires, wheels, seats, and fairings, are popular and easy to try. This crankshaft is an engine part that can be used to further enhance the riding experience of your motorcycle, going a step beyond these exterior customizations.
Replacing the crankshaft is a somewhat difficult task that requires disassembling the crankcase, also known as "crank splitting," using special tools such as a "crank puller (separator)" and a "crank installer pod." Since this is a time-consuming process, it's best to replace it at the same time as other maintenance, such as replacing consumables like crank bearings, oil seals, chains, pistons, and other crankcase-related parts.
