20 to 40 years ago, it is hand-spun, hand-woven, and hand-dyed with indigo dyeing, and all steps are carefully made by hand using old traditional techniques. Antique crosses are now rare items that are difficult to obtain locally.

Indigo dyeing has been popular in West Africa since ancient times, and has been passed down from generation to generation. It is dyed with an indigo plant called Yoruba indigo, which belongs to the legume family, and has excellent antibacterial, insect repellent, anti-mold, and deodorizing effects.

Hand-woven 10-13cm wide obi fabrics are sewn together to create a single piece, the edges are processed into shawl fringe, and then dyed multiple times using natural indigo dye. Women spin cotton into thread, men weave the thread into cloth, and indigo dyers dye it, making each one-of-a-kind item unique in texture, color, size, and feel.

A faded blue indigo color with a vintage look. It has a vertical drop and a faded feel, giving it a wonderful color reminiscent of vintage denim pants. It has an atmosphere unique to vintage old cloth that cannot be produced with new clothes.

Since it is a voluminous stole, it can be worn not only by women but also by men. It can also be used as a table runner or interior cloth, and natural indigo also has an insect repellent effect, so it is recommended to wear it outdoors, on picnics, at the beach, etc.
