It reduces odor by over 90% by suppressing the chemicals that cause sweat odor. The inner filling is made with 40mm of solid cotton for cushioning, providing just the right amount of elasticity and comfort for use on hardwood floors. The surface of the rush grass is treated with hiba essence (antibacterial and deodorizing). "Hiba oil," extracted from hiba trees in Aomori Prefecture, is processed into materials and products using proprietary technology from the manufacturer. "Hiba oil" contains hinokitiol, a naturally occurring substance with extremely high antibacterial properties, and its use is being researched in a variety of fields, including medicine and food.
